1. About these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Youth Growth Network ("YGN", "we", "us") website at www.ygn.ngo (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
2. Who we are
Youth Growth Network is a nonprofit organization based in the Greater Seattle area, Washington, USA. We connect high school and college students with real-world internship, mentorship, and volunteer opportunities offered by third-party organizations ("Host Organizations").
YGN is a facilitator, not an employer. We do not employ students, and we do not own, operate, or control any Host Organization or its workplace. Internships, jobs, and placements are provided by and are the responsibility of the Host Organizations.
3. Informational content only
The Site provides general information about YGN, its mission, and past placements. Descriptions of past internships are historical highlights and reports; they are not open job postings or offers of employment, and no application is implied or accepted through them.
4. No warranty
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, YGN, its volunteers, officers, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of the Site, participation in any program, or interaction with any Host Organization.
6. Third-party links and marks
The Site references third-party organizations and may link to external websites. Company names, logos, and trademarks shown (including those of past Host Organizations) are the property of their respective owners. Their appearance is descriptive of past collaboration and does not imply a current partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement in either direction. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any third-party site.
7. Donations
Donations are voluntary and governed by our Donation & Refund Policy. YGN is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization (EIN 99-2933245); donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
8. Participation by minors
Programs may involve minors. Participation is subject to our Youth Safety & Participant Notice, including parental or guardian consent requirements.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to gain unauthorized access, disrupting the Site, scraping at scale, or using it for unlawful purposes.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
