1. Our approach
Youth Growth Network ("YGN") respects your privacy and collects as little information as possible. This Site is a static, informational website. It has no user accounts, no login, and no server-side database collecting personal information from visitors.
2. Information we collect
- Information you send us directly. When you email us (for example, to volunteer, partner, or ask about donating), we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
- Basic technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically log standard request data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, for security and operational purposes.
- Fonts. The Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving those fonts.
We do not collect payment information on this Site. Donations are made through Zelle inside your own bank's app — see our Donation & Refund Policy.
3. How we use information
We use the information you send us solely to respond to you, coordinate programs, and operate YGN. We do not sell your personal information.
3a. Newsletter
If you sign up for our opportunity newsletter, we ask that a parent or guardian subscribe on a student's behalf. We use EmailOctopus to manage the list, with double opt-in — you must confirm your email before you receive anything. Your email is used only to send occasional updates about YGN opportunities. Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time. We do not sell or share the list. EmailOctopus's handling of your data is governed by its own privacy policy.
4. Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any storage used is limited to what is strictly necessary for the Site to function.
5. Children and minors
YGN works with students, including minors aged 16–18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 through this Site. Where a program involves a minor, we collect participant information through our program intake process with parental or guardian involvement — not through general browsing of this Site. See our Youth Safety & Participant Notice. Parents or guardians who believe a minor has provided us information may contact us to have it removed.
6. Sharing
We share information only as needed to run our programs — for example, connecting a student with a Host Organization with appropriate consent — or where required by law. We do not sell or rent personal information.
7. Data retention and security
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Your choices
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about you, to correct it, or to request deletion, at ygnseattle@gmail.com.
9. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
